Default Horrendous 7250 battery life

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,
I got my new 7250 this past friday, 4/15. In the days since, the battery life actually seems to be getting worse. Today, I got about 11 hours from full charge to wireless off, then black screen shortly thereafter. I was running Verichat all day with only AIM (only chatting for about 10 mins), got about 20 emails, 7 SMS, BT on, and made about 10 minutes worth of calls without BT headset.

Surely this cant be right...
Right?

In the original 7250 review, theres a report of a user waking up to 4/5 battery bars after leaving the unit on overnight!

Any help is appreciated, and I have followed the battery FAQs about letting the batt drain and then fully recharge a few times...

thanks,
mike

Quit Verichat. Your battery life will triple.

Unfortunately, the 7250 doesn't play very well with Verichat battery life. You need an instant messenger that uses polled mode or push signalling, rather than continuously-open socket (which isn't good for battery life on CDMA)

I run instant messanger on my BB7250 ever since i got the device, the battery last me 4 hours tops after a full charge, i carry around 3 batteries to last me for a full day 12 hours so that i can still receive email etc. I stopped using the IM on the bb and the problem still persists, i replace my BB and the issue still exist, support can't help me anyomre, they sent me 2 bb replacement and I bought 3 new batteries, no such luck, 4 hours and the battery drains completely........... I dont even use the bb much, in my holster all day long,

Are you in a poor signal area for the most part, that could one possible thing? I've had the 7250 for 4 mths now and never had any type of those issues w/the battery. If I keep myself logged on to a IM application, I can still get through the day without issue. If I dont use it, I can go a few days.

I have a user with a 7275 that uses it soley for e-mail and can't hold a charge over the weekend. Seems that on the weekend is when he is having problems. He has it set to auto shut down at 10 PM and when he turns it on on saturday he is at 65%. He turns it off after checking his messages and by sunday it is dead. He has had 3 batteries as well as 2 new units and the problem still follows him.
ended up giving him one from another vender until I can figure out what is happening. since he reported it I have had 2 other people with the same issue.

I have noticed that, if I turn my 7250 off overnight, my battery runs down more by morning than when I leave it on all night. I have no idea why this happens.
