Hi All,

Excuse my ignorance if this has already been discussed...I know the new Tour is going to have a tracpad, rather than a ball. My question is, does anyone know if it would be possible to use the trackpad on a current Tour? I guess my main thoughts on this are 1. Will the Tour and Tour 2 be the same size? and can you swap the housings for the two? I ask this because I had the pleasure of playing with the NEW Bold for AT&T this past weekend and loved the trackpad. But I did notice that the pad is square, whereas the balls have a round casing to them. Also, the Bold is slightly smaller than my Tour.

Chances are, this will not be possible, although no one has proved it either way.

The form factors should be identical.

Not possible, if you can find a pic of the Essex, Tour 2 you will notice some differences on the front due to the bigger track pad.

I figured the two would be a little different....which is why I was wondering if the housings would be swappable...

On the Bold I was playing with, the trackpad is only slightly larger than the trackball setup.

And the software wouldn't work anyway even if you swapped the hardware.
