Default Calendar appointments created on BB move 1 hour ahead

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a Blackberry Bold 9650 (v5.0.0.810), using a BES Express server and Exchange 2003.

When creating a calendar appointment from my blackberry the appointment will move an hour ahead (if I create an appointment from 7-8 am, it shows up as 8-9 am in Outlook and on my blackberry).

Wondering if this is somehow related to DST. I am in the US Central Time Zone.

Any assistance on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe Kratcha

Sounds like a time zone/DST problem.

Do you have the correct time zone selected on the BB? Have you asked the BES Admin or your company IT Staff about it?

BB Time Zone is correct. I am the company IT staff/BES Admin. I believe the registry on the BES Express needs to be modified for the DST. I found some info for modifiying the registry for the Australian Time Zone - may need the same for US Central Time zone.

Not yet. I can't find much about it. I am very confident it's a DST issue with the BES Express server. If I find anything I'll post on here for you.

Same problem here for *just one* user. You can see the appointment move before your eyes! No other users are having the same problem, though. All on Bold 9650 (6.0.0.431). Devices, BESX, and Exchange server all claim to be on Eastern Time with DST.

We also saw the same problem, with only one user, and one appointment. Everything is set to Mountian DST. Wierd.

I applied SP2 and took the BES X to 5.02.2x and the issue has been resolved
