Default Call Log logging calls that never happened

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8300 on AT&T. I got it a week after it was released (I actually got one the day of release, but had to exchange it due to a bad screen). It's running OS 4.2.2.89.

The problem I'm having is the call log is listing calls that never took place, from contacts for whom I don't even have phone numbers for (but are in my address book with email addresses). Actual calls are being listed, but the list is being sprinkled with these bogus calls, too. There are a few in there right now. Some are single calls, others claim multiple calls. And, again, I don't even have phone numbers for these people, and for two out of the three people, I haven't even received emails from them in who knows how long.

Has anybody ever seen this before? Or know how to fix it?

(I tried searching for an answer to this, but couldn't find anything. If this has been answered before, I'd appreciate a link.)
