Default Facebook Notifications

Please Login to Remove!

I have a question about BB Facebook notifications. I've search everything that I can on the subject and can't find an answer. I do not recieve Facebook notifications on my blackberry. My Blackberry is set up with the same email that I use for my Facebook. These notifications used to work until I had to get a new blackberry because of problems with my old one. Even when I go to Facebook on my phone it doesn't show me that I have notifications (but when I log in via a computer it does), but when I go to the "mobile site" it does show me my notifications.
I've tried deleting the application and reinstalling it, rebooting, taking out the battery...everything that I've read.

Can anyone help with this? I'm completely lost!

Welcome to the forums.

When you got the new device, did you log into your BIS account and switch the devices there?

sorry if this sounds dumb, but what is BIS?
and i'm assuming that if I don't know what it is that I didn't log in and switch my devices.

https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=sprint

It's where you log in to add and remove email accounts.

You're profile show Sprint, so I posted the Sprint BIS login. Your profile also shows an 8990 and I am not sure which device you're referring to as the 8990 is not a BlackBerry device.

I would try to remove and re-add the account on that site and see if you begin to get notifications.

From the Facebook application:

If you are not receiving notifications in Facebook® for BlackBerry® devices, or if you are not receiving all of the notifications that you expect, perform one or more of the following actions:
xxx8226; Verify that you are logged in to Facebook for BlackBerry devices.
xxx8226; Verify that you have updated the email address that receives Facebook® account notifications to an email address that is associated with your BlackBerry device.
xxx8226; Verify that you have turned on all of the notifications in your Facebook account that you want to receive on your device.

I had the same issue when I switched devices. I had to update my PIN and IMEI numbers in BIS, then I resent the service book.

Default facebook notifications

I am having the same problem. I used to get the little facebook icon when I had a new facebook notification. I changed my facebook password on my pc and then on blackberry. Ever since then I won't get facebook notifications on my blackberry unless I choose to use the "blackberry message application" which puts the notification in my "blackberry messages". I would really like to get it back where the facebook notification shows on the home screen so I can look at the phone and see when I get a message if it's from facebook. Thanks in advance for any help
