Theme design question
Please Login to Remove!
I am making a theme with Plazmic Theme Builder and this thing is pretty cool.
My question is in regards to the home screen.
In the home screeen editing section how do I add an application to it that is not a standard application that comes with my BB? I want to add Oprea Mini to the home screen but I do not see how in Pazmic.

You can not add third party applications in plazmic, if you have Opera installed it will be there once you load the theme and activate that theme.

Home screen > web links > add web link. I should add, this is for a web link ONLY, with icon - like say a direct link to youtube or something..

Yes you right Oprea is in the applications screen but I want to move it to the home screen.
The problem is that once I create a theme I can not get Opera on the home screen of the theme I created. I would like to get Oprea on the home screen of my theme that I created.

Yes I can do that as a work around if Opera was my default browser. I don't think there is a way to make Opera my default browser thought.

As you sit on the icon you can't just hit menu, move to folder and move it to the home screen...!?!

Make sure you are using the 4.6 theme builder and have the homescreen icons as "use application list" or something like that..there is a check box. You can then move the whatever amount of icons to the spots

Bcollins hit the nail on the head, you have to check the box "use application list" and then you just have to move the opera icon to the first icon.

I am using 4.6. I downloaded it and installed it but when I look at the ABOUT screen it says it is version 4.0.0.24 - Sept 24 2008.
There is no check box for use application list. I am using a custom theme.

I have found that when you design you own theme you can not move it to the home screen. With the default themes that come with the BB you can move it to the top of the list on the applications page and the top four or so will disply on the home screen. That is not the case when you design your own them from what I can see.

This does not work I tried it. When I make a custom theme I have found you can not do this because it sets the application you set in your theme to the home screen and they can not be changed or I am doing something wrong. It works on the BB default themes though.

''attroll'' = you need to play around in theme builder for a while more. There is a check box, just like the BCollins521 said, that allows you to move the icons around.
You shouldn't need to start a new theme, just click the reposition button, highlight the icon and then click the check box. You'll need to do this for each icon you have on the ''home screen''.
Good luck with.

Yes, I can add or remove icons on the home screen but there is no check box for this. The is a button to press to do this but it does not allow me to add third party applications to the home screen like I want.

You CAN NOT add third party application (icons) while your building a theme, only after you have build it and have it on the phone itself. BTW, The name of the checkbox is:
Use Device Application Order. If the version of plazmic does not have that checkbox,
download a newer version, that simple. You can get from Plazmic directly.

I do not have a box called "Use Device Application Order".
In Custom it is called "Repostition Apllications".
I believe I am using 4.6. I downloaded 4.6 and installed it and but when I look at the ABOUT screen it says it is version 4.0.0.24 - Sept 24 2008.
Could someone verify that there newest version says this also?
I will go and reinstall it while I am waiting to see if anyone elses says the same thing.

Yes that is the newest version. "Use Device Application Order" is found below the "Reposition Applications" button, in the 'Properties' section.
