... If I understand it correct, the 8800 from TMO does not include WIFI feature.

Is it correct?

Press release doesn't say anything concerning MyFaves, either.

I predict these omissions were just oversights.

edit: I stand corrected thanks to plchan

Operating on T-Mobile's EDGE network, the quad-band BlackBerry 8800 offers T-Mobile's myFaves(i) experience to easily stay in touch with those who matter most, and incorporates built-in GPS (Global Positioning System) to support location-based applications.

I think they did mention it.

Default Chicago area BB8820

I called 2 T-Mobile stores in the Chicago area. Both of them told me monday. Why is it that T-Mobile stores on the east coast have released the 8820 already?

Ok so I know t-mobile will be releasing the 8800 on monday, but I just saw a picture on the t-mobile site (link from BGR) and it appears to be different than the cingular version. Ive seen people who have posted in this thread (many from europe) that look to be crimson. Can anybody who was luck enough to get a US model clarify this?

Default Only Online Or Through Customer Service

I called T Mobile because I wanted to hear for myself whether or not it was gonna be at retail stores on Monday.. She said ONLY by calling Tmobile Sales/Customer Service or Online that you can obtain the 8800 on Monday. She was nice enough to note on my account that I have had my # for more than three years (which I have) but not on the same plans, which she said would help me get any discounts or rebates for the 8800 purchase on Monday.

was in Tmobile store today! They ARE NOT selling the 8800 in stores. Only upgrade online begining this Monday April 23. Stores are waiting for what they are told will be the 8300 (I think its the 8830 actually) WIFI and Multi media version that includes vonage/skype style calling that is free as long as you are anywhere with wifi. He thought EVEN internationally.

the sides appear to be a light silver plastic opposed to the gray chrome on the cingular unit.

I dont know what everyone is crying about. I know 4 people that acquired an 8820 since Thursday. 2 in Boston, 1 in New York and 1 in Atlanta. And its a very good quality machine. It was worth the wait.

Default Blackberry 8800 Issues

Hi everybody,
I need some help with my blackberry 8800.

1) I have several opportunities where when I was pressing a key number, the sound of the key stayed on and the only way to stop was removing the battery. While I was hearing that sound I got a message saying:
"Uncaught exception:Java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException ".
The sound was like a constant beep. It seems that the phones freezes, and the sound didn't stop even turning the phone off.
Any clue?

2) Sometimes where it shows the carriers name I get a line saying "data connection can not be established"
Any Clue?

3) I'm using a Mac computer and also PocketMac for Blackberry. The problem is that for example I change a phone number from one of my contacts in the computer or the device and after I sync them it doesn't make the change on the other device/computer. If I delete the contact it sync it ok, but not if I update the contact.
Is there any other soft to sync my 8800 with Entourage better that PocketMac?
Any clue?
I will appreciate your help.
Cheers!

Default TMO 8800 Software OS Download

Download

8800M_PBr4[1].2.1_rel111_PL2.3.0.54_A4.2.1.74.exe

Not exactly a newer build, but here it is.
