Default PTT showing up in my msg list. How do I stop it.

Please Login to Remove!

8350i is displaying my PTT entries in my message list with some weird blue and black Pm icon.

How do I stop this?

thank you southwestcomm... that sort of did it. What is the Direct Send My Info screen that still remains? It has a black square with what looks like a blue PR? in it?

Direct send my info is when someone PTTs you and sends you their contact information. I believe it just happens. My mom and dad's phone sent it to mine just during normal conversation. I believe it was added as a convience tool, but that's just me. I just open the message and close it. *shrugs*

I think I got this one figured out:

RTFM

Send your contact information automatically
1. In the phone application, press the Menu key.
2. Click Options.
3. Click Direct Connect.
4. Change the Auto Send My Info field to Yes.

Yes is default...set to NO

Has anyone gotten this one figured out? Seems that after making all the suggested changes I'm still getting these when receiving PTT's from other users. Very annoying.

Still dealing with the same issue myself. I called Sprint hoping for an answer, waited on hold for 30 minutes then got disconnected by them. Called back and 20 minutes later finally talked to a human who tried to figure out and said he would call me right back... that was only 6 hours ago and he never called so I think he was lying.

Mine was already set to off.... It didn't fix it. I'll turn it on and see if it makes a difference.

Try going into phone options, then go to call logging, here you will see the following choices that you can put to any option...

the screen says this

Show these call log types in messege list
1)missed calls
2)all calls
3)all cals no direct connect
4)none

Just pick what you want...

Hey Bamellis, Did Nextel ever call you back and try to help you or did they forget about you? this is on problem i'd like fixed too. i use my Direct Connect all day with just 3 people at work and it fills up my message menu. it sucks when you need to look to see my messages and you have to skip thru all those DC notifications.

Ok I think i got this one figured out and it WORKS
click on your Messages icon
with the date and time highlited click the menu button
scroll down to Options and click
goto general Options
go down to"Hide Filed Messages"
change NO to YES
press the Menu button and then SAVE
so in short
1 open "Messages"
2 open Messages Options
3 open general Options
4 change "Hide Filed Messages" to YES
5 save
DONE!
I do not know what else it hides but it does what i want it to do. I hope it is what everyone else wanted. i played with it for hours and hours till i found this. good luck everyone i hope i was able to help
