Default Whats the best way to charge a BB?

Please Login to Remove!

There may not be a difference but is it better to charge a BB with the wall adapter or through the USB cable. Without doing any analysis, I would guess that charging through the USB cable would be better because its a slower charge and not a rapid charge. I know the charge time is alot quicker with the wall adapter.

Anyone ever do any comparisons?

Anyone know how long it takes to charge a dead battery with the USB cable?

Thanks.

Lithium Ion doesn't seem to care if it's charged fast or not....
These batteries do seem to prefer being topped up frequently.

And while they don't normally suffer with a "memory" effect like NiCAD batteries, charging in extreme heat or cold will cause a memory problem for LiIon.

And, charge it in the holster (or put the magnet of the holster ontop of the space bar) for a "rapid charge".
This works amazing!

My BB is plugged to my computer any time I am at my desk, so it is always been topped off. I have had no issues with battery power at all.

I would have to believe that since RIM designed these, the charging speed of the wall adapter is just fine. I'm sure the only reason that charging via USB is slower, is that the USB bus can not supply as much power as the wall adapter.

I charge by USB at work all the time, but when I'm home I use a wall adapter.

Honestly, I doubt it matters.
