Copy them into their contacts folder. Public folders aren't supported right now.

Why are you using intellisync, just drag and drop the whole folder into their contacts.

I use Outlook PCS. Works great. You can get it from here, Download details: Outlook 2002 Add-in: Pocket Contact Synchronizer 1.2.
You simply install this, then go to the public folder you want synced, right click on it and choose to add it to Outlook PCS. Then you click on the button for PCS in outlook and it copy's the contents to your contact list. It also adds Outlook PCS as a category for those contacts so you can filter by them if you want. Then anytime you want to make sure you have the latest contacst from the public folder, you simply click the button. Wireless sync will take care of the rest.

I use this for my departments contact list. People come and go all the time. About once a week, I click on the PCS button in Outlook and I know within 30 minutes any changes will be reflected on my BB. I love it.

Default RE Outlook PCS

Before you dive into this product, you may want to think twice. We were using it for a while and I liked it, but we ran into an issue with records randomly being dropped during sync from the PC to the handheld (random # of drops with no consistency as to which were being dropped). I spent about 10 hours on the phone with RIM support and the bottom line turned out to be that they don't support synching records with the PCS app. If you're synching only < 100 where you can visually verify the sync, it'll probably work but with more than that, I'd be hesitant. There are other apps out there and heard that Add2Exchange (Outlook Calendar, Contact & Task Sync Solutions, PDA & Smartphone Sync Software, CRM: Advantage International 813.977.5739 works well, but haven't personally used it. Our high tech solution to this need is to manually copy records from the PFs to the personal folders where needed. More work than we like, but it's free.

Hope you find a solution...

Ciao

This functionality was unfortunately removed after version 3.6. Having it back would save me quite a bit of time dealing with challenged users.

Correct I lost my mind. I was the ability to sync with public folders in general that was removed in 4.0 and up.
