GAH!!! i am Sooooooo tired of this reply (and question...). YES! The logo and branding can be cleared / changed. I have done it many a time. Despite what - otherwise well educated - people feel entitled to say, debranding and changing the carrier logo (as well as a ton of other information) is possible.
Once again: IT IS POSSIBLE and HAS BEEN DONE!
However, it is not for the faint of heart and is by no means complete. You can completely Sim unlock a phone, change its IMEI and PIN, Change the carrier number and logo, but you can’t change certain hardware related aspects...
Example: An 8900 branded to Att can be fully debranded to T-Mobile, but it will not feature UMA. UMA is partly dependent on the phones hardware and special software *within* the radio... I do not know how (or if it is possible) to change this radio software as to enable UMA.
Naturally, this all comes at a risk of bricking your phone (hard, but not impossible to do!) so if you don’t feel comfortable, don’t attempt. and of course, i, nor anybody else (including this website bear any responsibility for your actions.
But, i think it would be against the rules here for me to tell you too much about the software / means / tools needed to do them as they (in the US and a majority of other countries) are illegal.
I do not like censorship of any information, so i will offer you this: If you would like a little bit more information, you may PM me and ill tell you what i can w/i the accordance of the rules here.
