Default BOLD 9000 and Korean font install

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I just upgraded my Curve 8310 to 9000 (Vodafone UK) and so far so good. But still I'm struggling to install Korean fonts on 9000. I did it for 8310 previously.

What I did is
- install 4.6.x Desktop Manager
- install 9000jEastAsia_PBr4.6.0_rel292_PL4.0.0.155_A4.6.0.1 62_SmarTone.exe
- I started application loader and find 'CJK.alx'

But what I got is error message that the application is not designed for this device.

Anything wrong?

Thanks

SK

Hi, GT5L. I saw your link and it is interesting, and I am willing to spend $10.00 to try, but your site doesn't show model of Bold 9000(German version). What do I do for bold 9000? Any solution to read and write Korean font on Bold 9000?

Install the EastAsia firmware but when you go to see the options to install there should be a section where it has all the East Asian Inputs, ie. chinese traditional/simplified, and korean and japanese. you should be able to input korean... gave my friend a try and he said it was cool

if you installed that software, you can read and write Korean in your bold.
to change input font, push "alt" + "enter", then appears font change pop-up.
you can choose Korean, then use the same korean keyboard layout with computer.
like,
QW E R T Y
xxx12610;xxx12616;xxx12599;xxx12593;xxx12613; xxx12635;

you can use it any software even in msn, excel, ms word, task, etc

good luck.

You did not install version 4.7 to the Bold 9000. That software does not exist.

Default Bold 9000 - Korean Input

SK Telecom released OS 4.6.0.307. If you install this OS, you should be able to use Korean Input Method on your Bold 9000.

Official BlackBerry Bold 9000 OS 4.6.0.307 Released By SK Telecom
I can't post links yet but go to

h t t p : / / crackberry (dot) com /official-blackberry-bold-os-4-6-0-307-released-sk-telecom

Make sure you delete the vendor.xml file when you install and as always, install at your own risk.
