Problem was that when I took a picture with the camera, the photo would not show up in pictures when I tried to find it. The photo was there as exhibited by being able to find it to attach file to email. I would have to reboot by pulling the battery for the photo to show up.
Lot of info about .662 on Beta You Than Me, wonder if a Moderator
could combine the threads.

Different subforums, different slant. I posted my comments on the Beta thread as well. Intent of posting here was to alert users of version .591 that I had encountered a problem with .591 and that the problem was corrected by installing the later (BETA) .662 version. As of right now, .591 is still the latest official release. Not every one is willing to install a beta version.

Thanks, subscribed to both threads. Very pleased with .662.

Default 5.0.0.591 Calendar items on phone

Just upgraded to Verizon's 5.0.0.591 OS and having an issue where calendar events are duplicating on the phone. I am connected to my company's BES and using Outlook. When I create or accept a calendar invite, it creates a duplicate (or sometimes a triplicate) on my phone. And each event is numbered 1/2 and 2/2, etc... In the past two weeks, I've gone through two phones, two wipes, a factory reset on the second phone, and finally deleting and resending the CICAL Service book. And the issue still exists today.

I'm reading here in the forums that there are several known issues with this O/S. Has anyone had my issue?

Not sure it's necessarily an OS issue. "what we have here, is a failure to communicate" there is a communication issue with which appointments go to which BB (CICAL) calendar and Outlook can't keep up and creates doubles, triples etc. I have had this issue in the past BUT I am on a BIS. I tell you this 'cause since you are BES you may need all of your CICAL books for creating or accepting invites. Someone please jump in to correct me.
What I have done is a wipe > resend service books> remove all but one CICAL service book > make all the necessary corrections in Outlook calendar (deleting all doubles and triplicate entries) > make a temporary change to DM -computer calendar overwrites device> sync Outlook. - Don't forget to configure DM back to the original calendar settings when you are done. I "THINK" you can now resend the service books and future made calendar invites will be on the corrrect calendars.

Thanks for responding stach.

I'm not sure if you completely understand my issue. Calendar events are duplicating on the phone, not in Outlook.

Unfortunately, I do understand. Each CICAL is a calendar for each email acct. So if you have 5 email accounts on your BB you should have 5 CICAL books. unless you deleted them. Outlook is not great at being able to decipher each calendar, so it just sends the calendar over and sometimes makes a copy on a different CICAL. If you go into Service books and delete a CICAL at a time and check your calendar you will see what I mean.

The problem is, if you need multiple calendars on your BB.
if you only need one calendar delete all of them or possibly keep one. I recommend keeping a gmail if you use or plan on using google calendars
