Default just curious....

well, have been using 9930 for some time now and quite happy with it. now that bb10 is here, had just a curious thought..... can the bb10 os be ported to 9900 series devices? i mean hardware is quite capable of it .

PS: hope i ve posted it in corrtect place.

Moved to the General 9900 forum.

BB 10 can only run on devices specifically designed for it. Not on any BB7 device, including the 9930.

The hardware is NOWHERE NEAR capable of running BB10. The 9930 uses a single-core processor at 1.2GHz while the Z10 runs on dual-core Krait processor at 1.5GHz and also has a separate GPU. Also note the 2GB of internal memory vs. 768MB. It's like comparing a DC-3 to an F-35.

(notice how I avoided car analogies? )
