Default Alarm program?

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone found an alarm program that is compatible with the Bold.
The lack of multiple alarms is driving me nuts.

bono007,

I had been using BBSmart's alarm program on my Curve and it is wonderful. I had a brief email exchange with Neil and he verified that is is not compatible with the Bold. He did not offer any idea when the program would be updated. You might want to take a look and if you're interested let them know. The more interest will help speed the process.

I just need/want multiple alarms for a variety of combinations of weekdays or weekends. You are correct however the single built in alarm works very well.

I posted an earlier thread about a problem I'm having. When I open the alarm by itself using a key shortcut (vis a vis using the clock program) the on/off/daily butto is inactive and thus can't be turnrd to on. Are you experiencing anything like this, and if not how do you open the program?

I don't understand your question, on the Bold alarm app.

Open the Clock > Menu > Set Alarm > scroll to the ON OFF function and press ALT to select the options.

In both my curve and bold I hvave a key shortcut set through Pocket Day which opens Blackberry Alarm. On the Bold the on/off button doesn't work if o access the program through the shortcut as opposed to opening as you outlined. Works fine on the Curve. And strangely all the other options are active and can be changed. It's jist the on/off that doesn't work.

technically yes, but having the alarm for a one time quick use has been great (on my curve).

I don't have a Bold--I'm jealous. Anyway, you can set your calendar for those times and use the snooze on that. Works for me...I don't even use the alarm.

My problem with the alarm is that the Snooze and Dismiss are close and when I push the center ball in the morning i frequently move it to dismiss. I go back to sleep expecting the alarm in five minutes and wake up in an hour's time and already late from work. It happens 3 times a week. Is there an other alarm application, that would have snooze and stop operated from separate buttons?

Just hit spacebar... it will snooze, and it's a lot bigger than the trackball!

Not to bring up an old thread, but this multi-alarm works with the bold:

Adorno Milti-Alarm Pro.

You can get a free trial from Handango.

Who knows when BB Smart will work with the bold, and it frustrates me because their site says compatible with all BB Models which is a lie.....

I know this was a while back, but I just found a way to do multiple alarms on the Bold. You can set only one from the clock function, but if you go into calendar and click on menu, there is a command for "new alarm". You can set as many as you want, one time or reoccurring. Then you can show them or hide them in your calendar by going into options. I'm now able to have one alarm for weekdays and one for weekends. I don't see a way to have different tones for different alarms, but that's ok.

Hope this helps someone.

Multiple alarms are easy but keeping track of them requires a visit to the calender. There should be a list of the alarms with an enable/disable function. However, I won't pay for an app to do this. Lack of choice for individual tones for each alarm is a little frustrating.

Perhaps this might be addressed in future OS releases...?
