Hello guys,

BES 4.1.6 MR5, remote SQL DB, running on WS2003. I'm about to move the services to a new machine, but I can't find my installation source from back when I installed BESX 3 years ago. I've since purchased a BES trade-up key, but no support contract.

Is there any other way to download the BES software, without a support contract? I'd be willing to begin with an older version of the software, 4.1 or better, and work my way up the upgrades.

no support contract = no free upgrades.

You "may" be able to get another copy of the version you paid for, but nothing newer than that. I'd suggest you contact RIM directly.

Assuming you are using BES for Exchange you can get 4.1.6 full installation free of charge from RIM, how do you ask? Well if RIM is still giving away BES for Exchange with 20CALs for free, go and register for it and download it.

Just use your activation key from your own BES server not the one they give you which is a "time bomb" key.

I run the same download on my server but I use my old BES for Domino activation key which I got from RIM when they were giving BES for Domino away for free with 10CALs.
