Default Wireless Activation Fail

Please Login to Remove!

Howdy all.

I have BESX installed on a Win 2008 VM. Everything works fine, but for the life of me I can't get any devices to complete a wireless activation. I verified that they do indeed have a BB Enterprise data plan AT&T). I checked all of the BES logs and don't even see the device trying to connect. I checked my firewall and see nothing being blocked on port 3101 (I do have it forwarded to the BES) and I'm just stumped. Any suggestions? Thanks

What version of BES are you using? Where is the activation failing? Can you verify if there are any etp.dat emails in the users inbox? If no one is activating it could be a possible permissions issue.

Version 5.0.3.16. I tested it for activation readiness and it passes. What's happening is on the device I go to enterprise activation, enter the email and password and hit activate. It states 'Contacting Server...' and then fails with a pop stating that the blackberry enterprise server has not responded to your activation request. An error may have occurred.

Issue resolved:

Apparently blackberry.net wasn't added to our spam 'allow' list so the notification email was never getting through. Slightly important step I somehow missed. Thanks all.
