I'm thinking BS on this. Why would RIM release a device that has worse specs than the Curve 8900? The Curve 8900 has a much better display and camera.

It makes no sense whatsoever. 5.0 will eventually be released for the 8900. 802.11n takes up more battery life and even with G, you still have greatly improved data speeds over 3G and EDGE.

Hearing all of these rumors on new BlackBerrys and not one peep on one that works on T-Mobile 3G is depressing. I wouldn't be surprised to not see a 3G BlackBerry before the end of the decade.

I don't know if I'll trust BGR on this one. They're wrong more than they're right. And if it was right info I think most of the other sites would have picked it up also.

I completely understand.
I'm no longer going to repost the news that I read on BGR. In fact I quit rereading his blog.

I'm not saying not all of it isn't correct. But most of the info that he gives out isn't correct. I still visit it every now and then.

I wouldn't worry about it, there's plenty of things wrong in the spec list that akim posted earlier in this topic too, its the nature of rumours that some stuff will be wrong, some will change and some will turn out to be right but for another device.

Incidentally, with the 8520 clearly being a lower cost device it isn't that unreasonable an assumption to make that it won't be the first blackberry to add N to their wifi support.

Wirelessly posted

Does anybody have any solid specs on this device or what? Besides what BGR posted.

It's all part of rim's masterplan to improve security, have so many different teams working on different devices at the same time that all the rumours end up in such a jumbled mess that nobody believes the leaks from the blogs.
