Default Enterprise Activation - No menu item / icon

Please Login to Remove!

I've got a Blackberry which should be enabled for enterprise activation by Vodafone but the menu item to do this is not showing in the Tools > Advanded Options menu, where I'd expect it. Nor is it on the desktop icons list (with show all items selected).

I've been here before a month or two ago and managed to get this menu item back on another Blackberry - I think by enabling / disabling something else - but my memory of it is vague and I can't see how to do it.

Any ideas? I'm pretty certain I've configured the new user account under BES and this is the last hurdle holding me back to getting this user set up.

These blackberrys are only a few months old - not sure of the model. I can check if its needed. (They look like Blackberry Curve's)

click and hold the alt key and press in the wheel, then click on show all. This will show all the icons that may have been hidden

I tried this - the "show all" menu item is already selected.

When the EA icon/menu item is not visible it means your data plan is not provisioned for BES use. Call your provider.

Vodafone tell me its been provisioned for BES use.

I have been here in the past and managed to get the icons/menu items back simply by enabling/disabling something in the menu system. Just cannot remember what.

Any more ideas, short of trying a software update?

Try Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table >Menu key and select "Register Now."

On all of the 8830's that I've set up lately (85 in the last 2 months), there is no EA icon. Even after I get the 1XEV on the device....no icon.

I have to click on Options -> Advanced Options -> Enterprise Activation.
