Only if your BlackBerry is connected to an Enterprise Server.

The BlackBerry Browser is for people running on their company's BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Otherwise you only get the carrier's browser or the generic "Internet Browser"

No, the "BlackBerry Browser" is linked to the MDS (Mobile Data Service) of an Enterprise Server.

Incorrect. Will work if you have the latest OS and Webclient setup. LOL..
If you don't have an Internet Browser Service Book you need to call your cell company.

Depending on the service provider that you have, most of them require you to contact them and request that the Blackberry HTML Browser be provisioned on your service!

just ensure that you have the unlimited web service activated for $0.20 a day.

Hi, just need a confirmation: I backed up my 7210 and then restored it (alas, full restore, not a custom restore) to my 8700g and now I am missing the Browser, Tzones and there is an email account in there that I don't want; from this thread I gather that I need to contact TMO to provision the browser etc. for me and send me a new service book and reinstalling the BB is not going to help, is this right? Thanks!

just go to the webclient and select change imei/pin. since you have a new phone and your account will then send the service books to the new phone

Last time I checked my 8700c, I had the browser for blackberry. I am connected to BIS. You have to have some form of blackberry data, although (as far as with Cingular) you do not have to be on BES.

The easiest way to get it, log in to your BIS account and send it from there. Or else, have your SP send it for you. Good luck

I have found that sometimes you have to re-register before they come down. The service book that is sent from the BIS is usually just the email service book(s)

edit***
To re-register:
Options
Advanced (depends on theme)
Host Routing table
Press wheel, choose register now

That appears to be one little convenience option which has disappeared with the upgrade from BIS 1.8 to BIS 2.0.

In BIS 1.8, there used to be two options - "send service books" and "send internet browsing service books", and in BIS 2.0 that second button is no longer there.
