I have a BB Curve with 4.3 on it. When I upgrade the BES to 4.1.6 will the Curve accept HTML email?

No it will need OS 4.5

This thread is out of date. To get it working with BES Express (not BPS), upgrade to SP6. You don't need to make any changes to the database, as these options are exposed in the GUI.
