Question Pop-Up Blocker & Java on 9550

Please Login to Remove!

First thread...so be gentle I have a 9550 and believe I have everything updated via the Desktop Manager as far as software goes. I can browse the web, email, etc. However, I am a nursing student and we take some classes online through some software called Blackboard. All others in my class can navigate through this easily using several other types of phones...Droid, Android, etc. I can get all the way through the site until the very end...and it just hangs. I have tried IE, Firefox and even downloaded Opera (which I cannot even figure out how to use)...I think the issue may be my pop-up blocker but cannot figure out where to check this. I use the website, software frequently on my home desktop and there are several things it checks to make sure you have...pop up blocker turned off, latest version of Java, etc. How can I check Java and pop up blocker via the blackberry browser? Has anybody used Blackboard on their Blackberry?? I have the same issue when trying to get into my class schedules, etc. via the school's account...can make it clear through the login but it hangs up at the end...any help is appreciated...sorry it's so lengthy

Blackberry browser don't have a pop up blocker. It doesn't allow pop-ups.

Thank you for your help...so apparently I need to use IE to access this site rather than the BB browser?

Here is the advice posted by the site I'm trying to use:
Pop-up Blockers
The Blackboard Learning System sometimes uses small browser windows to deliver requested content. Some pop-up blockers incorrectly interpret these small windows as pop-ups and block them. If you have installed a pop-up blocker, turn it off while using the Learning System.

Java Security Certificate
After logging in to the Blackboard Learning System, you will be prompted to accept a Java Security Certificate. You must click Yes or Always to ensure that Learning System functionality using Java will work properly in your browser.

You can't use IE on a blackberry.
There is the blackberry browser, Opera Mini or Bolt Browser.

Thanks for the reply...in my Advanced Options on my Browser settings it allows me to choose Internet Explorer, Firefox or Blackberry. I did download and install Bolt and the site is working! Now, if I could figure out how to navigate through using Bolt I'd be set...it seems like clicking on a link in it is difficult...and is there any way to "zoom in"?

Thats the "emulation" mode. It acts like IE, or firefox or blackberry, but its still the browser itself that has the problem.
