Default Imputting licence key

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I have been trialling Black & White list application, and it's great. So today I purchase the full license from them. I can't however input the licence key since on the screen where you input the software pin the handset will only let me type in NUM mode. I've tried pressing ALT but as soon as I type it will only allow numerals. The licence key is a mix of letters and numbers(letters first half, numbers second).

Anyone any suggestions?

First step is to do a battery pull.

Next try testing you keyboard input in some other app just to make sure it is displaying what you type?

If you find there is nothing wrong with your device, then reach out to the applications support.

Thanks nothing wrong with the keyboard, and I see the NUM mode on when I go into the screen, it just won't let ABC mode stay - as soon as I start typing it goes back to NUM setting.

Tried composing a text and I could type in numbers or letters. Thanks anyway.

Quick up date. The application provider have not responded to my email - 4 days ago, asking for support. I can find no other way of contacting them and in the meantime my free trial has stopped. All blocked calls are now coming through again.

Just when I thought I'd found my saviour. I'm going to post a warning about this since I now have no way to get my money back.

It may not be possible, of course, but did you try copying and pasting?

Do you mean from the email onto the screen? It won't work because I can't get the menu up for the past function when in the registration screen. The only functions that work are numerals. Unless there is a short cut?

Are you sure that you are using the correct license key for the correct application?

Have you tried copying and pasting the key instead of directly typing?

OP says cannopt paste in the license key input screen.

If you haven't tried already, do a hard reset...With the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds....if there is some glitch with the software and the alt key function on that screen, the hard reset will likely fix it.

Thanks everyone I found that I had bought the licence key for a different type of software, and one not compatible with the 8100. So have paid for the key for Black and White list now.

Would have been nice to have had some support from the application provider, I suppose I can put the call/pro onto my new Curve and hopefully the key will work there!
