iphone test drive
i just had a friends iphone for a week to test it out.
i wanted to hate it but i got pretty fast on the keyboard in 2 days.
i wont bore you with a "full review" ....the thing is great but needs some tweeking....next version will be good...ver3 might be perfect
RIM better roll up their sleeves and get to work.
if apple bought RIM and adopted "push mail" and other clever RIM short cuts then the iphone would be #1 fon in the world in less than 18 months PERIOD!
That iphone browser is SICK!

I want an iPhone sooooooo bad!!! I currently have cell phone service with Qwest (just signed a 2 year contract earlier this year) but I think that the iPhone would be worth the $800 I'd have to pay in cancellation/activation/equipment fees. I know 3 people I work with who have iPhones and I love them. They're easy as hell to use, they look cool as hell, and I have fat fingers, but I can type better on iPhone then I can on Nextel's 7100i blackberry! (crazy huh?) anyway....when I get my tax return in '08 i'm so blowing it on an iPhone.

Inferior
in·fe·ri·or
adjective
1. lower in station, rank, degree, or grade (often fol. by to): a rank inferior to colonel.
2. lower in place or position; closer to the bottom or base: descending into the inferior regions of the earth.
3. of comparatively low grade; poor in quality; substandard: an inferior product.
4. less important, valuable, or worthy: B+ bonds are inferior to AAA bonds.
5. acting or performing in a way that is comparatively poor or mediocre: an inferior observer of human nature.
6. Botany. a. situated below some other organ.
7. Anatomy. (of an organ or part) a. lower in place or position; situated beneath another.
8. Astronomy. lying below the horizon: the inferior part of a meridian.
None of these definitions make inferior a good thing, no matter how cool you look, sorry iPhone, better luck next time Apple!
(definition from dictionary.com)

I had a iPhone and sold it and came back to BB. The iPhone has no search function. I sometimes need to look up contacts by company or name and there is no search for this, now hand searching 800 contacts is a pain. Such a basic feather like search should be on every computer/phone made. Also you cannot load software onto the iPhone, major setback.

I honestly doubt that they would make it work with the BIS as most companies off a complete unlimited bis account for a flat rate. Apple has the same thing, all data included! And as for giving ur iphone a bb pin, I doubt it. But hey! I haven't had an iphone yet, well see what happens

My AT&T Tilt ran Windows Mobile but I had BlackBerry email and a PIN. Well, the device itself doesn't have a PIN, the BB Connect software does, and it worked pretty good. It is certainly possibly to write a BB connect software for iPhone with the new SDK out for it and all.

It is likely that the next major iPhone update will include MS exchange support either directly of through a 3rd party partner of Apple's. I doubt we will ever see a BB connect client for the iPhone.
