Default Music Player and my Holster=sucks...

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a new 9630 tour as an upgrade from my curve. I was trying to play music when I was walking. However when I have the music player on and playing and holster the phone, it stops the music.
Outside of holding the phone as I walk or putting it in a pocket it wont play.

Does anyone know how to get the holster to stop shutting down the active music player?

You can't. The sleeper magnets put the BB to sleep via proximity sensor. There is no override for this sensor. But there are holsters (cheap ones) that do not have this magnet.

Not sure about the tour models, but I did this all the time with my 8820, and do it now all the time with my 9700. I wonder if you are pressing a button or key when inserting into the holster and causing the player to pause or stop. Have you paid attention to this?

EDIT: I looked at the post again..... It doesn't stop when in the pocket? Hmmm.

I do not have the problem with my 9650 either.

Do you have BB set to lock when entering the holster?

Maybe a bug with the OS?

I was able to play music and holster my phone on my 9630 and even on my 9650. Odds are you are hitting a button when holstering the phone. Try locking the phone then putting it in the holster.
