Default Transfer Pics from 8310 to Mac

Please Login to Remove!

I have an older Blackberry 8310 (v 4.2.2.170) and I'd like a simple way to transfer a couple of pictures I took with the BB to my iMac (OS10.6.6).

I do not believe the BB has a media card, if that matters.

Can someone explain to me (in terms my mother could understand) how to do this?

BTW, I do NOT have wireless internet service so emailing them is not an option.

Thanks so much for your help! I appreciate this forum greatly!!

Bob

120 views and not a single suggestion. Maybe its not doable? Seems crazy that the picture is stored in that little box and there's no way to get it out. I can't believe that.

I've tried sending the pic via Bluetooth and can't make that work. Also tried directly connecting BB by USB and using BB Desktop Manager and can't make that work either. I suspect I'm holding my mouth wrong and there's a simple fix. Well, maybe not "simple", but there has to be a way.

C'mon, somebody take a flyer here!!

AKA, I appreciate you all taking the time to look!!

I do not believe that you can do it with a Mac.

The BlackBerry Device Memory does not present itself to the computer as a Removable Drive. You have to use software called Roxio Media Manager to access it via a computer. Roxio Media Manager is available with certain versions of BlackBerry Desktop Manager. I don't believe that it is available in any of the Mac versions.

So your options are....

1) Get a Media Card and use the menus within the device itself to copy files to the Media Card and then use Mass Storage Mode to copy them to a computer.

2) Use a Windows based computer and install BlackBerry Desktop Manager with Media Manager and copy them that way.

3) Try Bluetooth again. Or try Bluetooth on a Windows based computer.

Yes. As long as it is a size that is supported by the OS version on the device.
