I called the att customer support and asked them to resend my service books so bbmaps would appear and they told me that they don't support bbmaps because they use telenav gps.

What's a legit reason that they would need to resend my books upon request when I ask so bbmaps will show?

Service books should only be needed for BBMaps on OS 4.5. AT&T doesn't support BBMaps nor do they support beta OS 4.5.

I understand that. However they should be able to resend the service books on request. What's a good reason for them to do that?

I don't think they will push you a BBMaps Service Book since they don't support it.

You can resend service books to yourself by going to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table >Menu Key >Register Now.

Because they do not support BBMaps? If something isnt supported, it isnt supported and you can ask them to resend service books as much as you want, but they dont have access to the service book to resend.

If you follow the directions exactly as posted, you will have a Shared Folder, or you are not looking in the right place. Desktop Manager must not be running when you install the OS.

Options >Advanced Options >Service Book. Just delete the service books for them. If they come back, then just hide the icons. They take up very little space as they are not the app, just a link.

alright i figured it out and got my shared folder and removed the vendor ID from the .alx file but how do i get the themes to load to my device i thought it would prompt me at the DM start up, they didn't, and then i went through the app loader to see if anything new showed up in the check list, nothing, what am i doing wrong?

Just follow the instructions step by step. You need to go *past* the checklist and it will show you what it's going to add or remove.

im sorry that im being a pain but i went through the steps.I went past the check list and it told me no action needed.
was it wrong for me to remove all the vendorID's or should i have only removed specific ones.
I went back through to check if i missed any but none were found in my search and i did see any at all.
Thanks for the help, maybe im just in over my head.

I can tell you're not reading the post completely. Initially, you didn't even install the OS so that you would get the shared folder. The instructions are clear. I can't see your Blackberry.alx file so there's not much we can do. Just re-read the post from the top and figure out what you missed.

Im very sorry John i think i am going to give up though.
I read through the post about editing the Blackberry.alx and I can't find anything i missed.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the OS on to my PC redid every step and still get nothing to load on to my device.
Its no big deal really i just wanted to see what else was out there theme wise.
Thanks for the post and the help.
