Hello all,

This morning we recently updated our BES to SP6 MR1. After we initially loaded it we though everything was OK because messages were coming through and calendar events worked OK. i then noticed my address book had extra entries, ones that I had loaded for our Lotus notes web address book instead of the replicas we have stored which are replicating there actual address book.

I looked at the PIM info and noticed it was wrong for myself and many others. When I tried to change my info it would not let me. I then tried to change for our other "VIP" users and noticed that about half had incorrect info while the others had it correct. I was able to successfully update it for most of them but not all. Any ideas? I called BES tech support and they just said to check permissions on SQL (which makes no sense since I'm able to change them for some) and to run maintenance on the server (which to me also doesn't completely make sense). Any ideas? Anyone run into these issues?

Interesting - post-MR1 I had a few users whose address-book PIM sync info was different and had to be fixed. Up to now I thought it was something I'd missed, but now I'm wondering if the upgrade screwed up the entries.

Were you able to update all the entries to fix the issue? Some of ours we are unable to update which is what is the realll annoying part. Did you do anything afterwards to resolve?

SOLVED! Apparently with SP6 there is a new feature where the BES tries to be smart and auto populate PIM fields. It changed it because it thought that a lot of our users should be using iNotes info instead of the replicas we created on our server. Apparently the feature is so aggressive in some cases it won't let you change the info either which was the case with some of ours. If you follow the instructions in the article to adds a registry item that disables this feature.
