Having trouble syncing contacts with BES. If I create a new contact in Outlook, it sometimes syncs and sometimes doesn't. If I change a contact, same issue. If I create a contact and save it on the device, it is uploaded to the server. If I move the contact to a subfolder, it is deleted from the device. All very unreliable.
I use Sherweb hosted exchange and contacts their tech support about the issue and they have said that BES does not work well over 1200 contacts. I have a little over 3000. They said the only solutions they can suggest are to resend service books or wipe the device and start fresh but are not optimistic about either solution.
I have had this issue before and while these solutions appear to fix it for a while, the problem always returns.
Any suggestions?
I tried syncing with DM and though it appeared to clean up and sync the contacts, once I reconnected with BES,it deleted what
I had synced!
Drag & dropping e-mail from folder to folder doesn't make BES/handheld happy. Are you d&d'ing contacts?
If you're working with Exchange Public Folder contacts, perhaps there are permission issues?
Resending service books is never a bad idea and a wipe may help, but you may want to try deleting the contacts from the device using desktop manager (back up first), then start anew.
BES Definitely handles more than 1200 contacts, and does so well. I've got user's with 5000+ and no problems.
