Default Storm on BES

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BES for Exchange server, running version 4.1.5.26. (I know this version is out of date and I need to upgrade...just waiting on budget to do so).

One of my users just had a phone die, and so they replaced their world edition with a new storm. I cannot seem to get the BES server to recognize this device when I connect it to the server via USB. This has worked for all of my other phones...so I am wondering if the Storm is not supported by the BES server version I have? Is there something I am missing or a driver that I need?

Again...I do know that I need to upgrade...budget is tight right now. I do need to get this user working, so if anyone can help...at least letting me know it can be done...I would appreciate it.

Thank you

Welcome to the forums.

Is this user's Storm provisioned for BES? I would have the user verify with Verizon that they're provisioned properly.

You can upgrade to 4.1 SP6 MR5 for free.

All BlackBerry handhelds are supported on all versions of BES as long as the encryption algorithm being used is supported on the phone (3DES versus AES)
