Since I installed OS 4.5.x.xxx on my Curve 8320 all my BB Messenger contacts are lost after a reboot (ALT+RIGHT SHIFT+DEL) or battery remove.
anyone else experiencing this problem?

Did you back up your device prior the installation? If yes, Use the backup advance function and restore the BlackBerry Messenger database. This is with Desktop Manager v4.6. Generally DM would automatically take a device backup with the file name similar to LoaderBackupxxxx.ipd. If you had not explicitly taken a backup, try the backup file name I just mentioned.

Without a backup you will have to manually add them again by send requests via BBM.

What if it just happens randomly? Since the upgrade...it's happen to me about 3 times. Once was my contacts and twice was my conversations? Any ideas?

Same issue here with my VZW 8830 running 4.5. Everytime I pull the battery, all my messenger contacts get deleted. Anyone find a "fix"?

I had that same exact issue, but have not had it happen since I upgraded BBM to 5.0 (a few weeks agao).

I would give that a shot.

I had an issue like that too. Change your phone back to the stock theme and pull the battery again to reset it.

Turn off content protection in the security options.

Prior to upgrading to OS 5.0 on my 9530 I had linked BBM & Enterprise Messenger to my Blackberry Contacts. After upgrading to OS 5.0 now I lose the link to my contacts after every reboot.
