I have a Curve which was issued to user a couple of years ago. User has left company, want to issue Curve to new user.

Should I via BES.
"Erase data and disable handheld"
then delete user,
then add new user, activate

If these steps are not correct will someone please advise.

I would wipe the device to start (either from the device itself, or the BES)

If the user you are issuing the device to is not already on the BES, then you will need to add the user, then do an Enterprise Activation.

If the user is already on the BES, simply set a new activation password for that user, and do the Enterprise Activation on the device you are issuing.

The user who left the company is still on the BES??

You can just do a security wipe on the device, delete the old user from BES, add new user, set activation password, activate for new user.
