I have the very same H500, but on my BB 8700g. Works great. There are lots of opinions on headsets, you might do well to look at that forum, I have no idea why you posted a headset questions in this thread about Blackberry Weather, etc.

Default BBToday killed - 7520

On my 7520, anykey press on keyboard causes it to crash. Yes, I saw the other threads and realize not to push a key but sometimes it just happends. Arrrr. Any word on updated source code newer than 1.5? This has to be the sweetest app I have ever seen though. It looks so nice and clean on my bb.

Thank you for your work.

Did you ever get this issue fixed?
I've just installed BBToday (and for free, it's a damn sight better than PocketDay) but the e-mail addresses in the messages section are jumbled. In addition the (red) number indicating the number of messages in each account is right in the -middle- of the addresses. Kinda overlaid on top of them. If it weren't red, I wouldn't even know it's there.

So, has -any-one gotten this issue resolved?

Thanks...

These are great apps but they haven't been updated in quite some time. I quite using BBToday as it locks up the pearl from time to time. I do use BBWeather and love it. BBToday was created before each BIS account had it's own folder. They never planned on having to have room for the full email account name.

So is the mumbled up email address easy to deal with or should I just not download it?

its neat when I rearrange the Plugin Slots... I need two things: remaining battery power indicator and weather.

Default bbweather - firewall issues

I installed bbweather using all the advice from folks here on the forum; and it works beautifully for me on my 7250; so thank you all very much for the advice. Use only the trackwheel, enter the correct location code, and put in the matching city name for your location code = everything works perfectly.

My problem with bbweather is that, when it tries to update; I get a message that "bbweather has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy". I can set my firewall setting to "disabled" and it will work fine; but if I enable the firewall; it stops the updating of the weather.

I don't want to leave anything open to security or virus issues by not having the firewall enabled; but I don't see any way to pick and choose what you allow. Can anyone give me any ideas on how I should proceed?

Thanks again for all your advice; this site has been incredibly helpful.

That is normal. BBToday came out before the later versions of BIS that list the names of the email accounts. It's been like that for quite some time. There is no fix for it.

My BB Weather program fell victim to the Verizon handheld update. I remember there were special directions. I assume it is somewhere in this thread.

Does anybody have the original .JAR or .CLASS source files for BBToday? I'd like to tweak it and make it more stable for our 8100 and 8300 series users on BES.

BBToday freezes from time to time with that "unexpected caught" error message and the BBWeather is unstable and freezes up when you have users trying to input the wrong location ID.

If I can get my hands on the original codes to work off from that would be great. Save me the time to start from scratch.
