Sounds like applications are running in the back ground

hit menu > switch application and see what you have running in the background. you should have only 5 apps running (6 with ATT). PPT, Phone, Calendar, Home Screen, BBM, Messages

anything else should be closed

It can also be due to a weak signal. When a device has a weak signal, the radio is pumped up to full power. No signal hammers a battery.

You should also check your backlight settings. Reduce the brightness to 70 or 80 and enable auto-backlight.

Leaving BlueTooth on all the time sucks power too. I charge my Pearl every 2 days with BT always on. My Curve for data only lasts a few days.

Or the theme. I've had the Today themes do that occasionally.

My 7130 did the same thing up until a couple months ago when we got a new cell tower in town. Now the battery will last a weekend with 50% remaining.

Yep if you connection is wonky and drops to GPRS or GSM your battery life goes into the crapper. I've charged my 8310 in the morning and was at home the whole day and it was dead by the evening dimply because I get very poor reception at home.

I'm thinking setup a wifi network at home and buy an 8320.
