Angry Keypad not working other than 7100t simulators

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I have written a sample application, in which accepting user input from KEYPAD through the Dialog box ( containing EditField). Its working absolutely fine with 7100t model simulator. However, surprisingly, not working on other device model simulators such as 7520 etc. Even, the funniest part is that ENTER & other special keys are accepted comfortably on these simulators.

NOTE: Trackwheel is also having no problem at all in any of the simulators.

Plz help me in this regard, Im damned fustrated by this problem.

Thanking you in advance.

Abhi.

The simulator can either take input as the phone would or as the keyboard input it...
which do you have set?

Extremely Apologize techies,

Actually, the problem was with my code only. I had not implemented the KeyListener for the said dialog. Now, its working absolutely fine.

However, still the funniest part remains undiscovered. That is, if the problem is with my code only, which is the true case, then why the 7100t model simulator responds perfectly in that case.

Any clue?

Anyways thanx for the reply.

Abhi.

It's all about learning from mistakes... I know I have made _many many_ simular mistakes, but doing some research and sorting things out is the key to learning. The harder an issue is to solve, the easier it is to remember when you run into it the next time...

I've never made a mistake. Ever.
Really.

Except for bugs. I write lots of those...
and sometimes I misconfigure things.
and stuff.

Ya... I only make mistakes if...

a) somebody else catches it
b) somebody else fixes it

Other than that it's part of the debugging process...
