I was wondering if there is a way that I can record the CAL's that I have on my BES server. I know that I can go into the server and lincense management and see the Licenses but I cannot copy the alpha numeric keys from there. I want to be able to record those incase of a disaster, I want to record them somewhere but I also dont want to do it by manually entering it into a spreadsheet to avoid mistakes.

In license management you can right click on the key and hit "copy key". Then paste it where you want.

From command-line, you can do the following:

bcp "select LicenseKey from BESMgmt.dbo.LicenseKeys where type = 0" queryout c:\licensekeys.txt -c -T -R -E -Sdbservername

That will export all installed license keys to the text file specified in the command. Just be sure to change dbservername to your SQL/MSDE server. This needs to be run from a server/machine that has bcp.exe installed, though (installed by default with SQL and MSDE installations). Obviously you can script around this command line (or a number of others that are similar) and keep an up-to-date list, if ever needed.

As in KB article 04907, among others. Result: text file containing your license keys. Hope that's what you were looking for. Keep us posted.

Only caveat i would add is to make sure you know what order they were applied if, like me, you started with Small Business and then upgraded to full BES with extra SBE licences being bought in between.
