ok i loaded the desktop software and updated the version to the latest, i currently use outlook for my email, contact and claendar, when i setup the sync config it allow me to set it up with outlook, however when performing the sync process it loaded all the contacts, but when it comes to the calendar i get a operation failed window, no matter how many times i try.....

can anyone help me? what am i doing wrong, booklet is useless in setting this up.

double check your desktop manager settings. it may not set to two way sync or, for that matter, to sync at all.

the sync is set up for calendar only and two way.......still get the warning "unexpected termination error" I reset the configuration of the sync and started over, still get the error.

i cant seem to find where to send the email about the trace log for the rror im getting, here is the error track log, maybe someone has already be here before and knows whats wrong. i need help, no calendar on my crackberry sucks. TY

After upgrading my Curve to the latest model and upgrading Desktop Manager to version 4.5, I could not sync to Outlook Calendar without getting an unexpected termination of the sync process.
After many failed "fixes" suggested on the internet I found the problem to be due to a Daylight Savings Time (DST) update needed for Outlook. The Microsoft Help Site / Article devoted to the problem suggested updating Windows (I ran the program which indicated that Windows was up to date) and then running the update (using a different program) for Outlook. This site wouldn't let me paste the link, but Google "Daylight Saving Time Help and Support Center".
From there you should be able to get the files you need. The Outlook DST article was entitled "Microsoft Office Outlook Tool: Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook. The program file is called: OutlookTimeZoneMove.exe.
It felt great when the damn thing worked.

i got my issue resolved after a long time working with RIM, what it ended up being is that i had birthdays showing no end dates, once i remove that i was able to sync right up, so if anyone has a similar issue be sure and look in your outlook calendar for any appointments, bdays, or anniv's that dont have an end date, Blackberry only goes so far for the amount of years!

Odd issue...none of mine have end dates but I have no synch issues. I did move mine to 8-830am instead of all day events just because I didn't like how they showed upo on the BB but that's another issue.
