Default Blackberry Maps?

Anyone who has seen/used this device...

Is Blackberry Maps a tool that is supposed to act similar to Berry411 or an app along those lines? Just curious...

Cool. That is what I was wondering. It didnt seem BB Maps had all of the Plug Ins that Berry 411 does. I will have one tomorrow so I guess I will see for myself.

Thanks.

You have the option to 'Map from Address Book'

You have the option to 'Start GPS' which will connect to a paired BT GPS device for turn-by-turn/LBS directions.

The battery? Duh thats common sense, since not only is the handheld processing alot more, the backlight is on more and bluetooth is being used... Simple solution, get a car charger and the thing will be fully charged when you arrive in the right location thanks to BlackBerry Maps! (can you tell I love this feature???)

Haha.. sorry for the lingo.

Google maps is superior to BlackBerry maps. The only advantage of BB Maps is the GPS. Personally, I know where I am at, so I just need traffic and google local.

apples to oranges, with GPS navigation its a whole different ball game, whats superior in Google Maps?

BlackBerry maps will let you search for restaurants and hotels

Also I can email my coordinates to others who can find my location on their BlackBerry... Beat that!

Well Ok BB Maps does need some work though.. lol But I think its got more promise

I second that. I typed in "liquir store" at a zoom level with Google maps and got markers all over the screen which I can navigate to and get address and phone number.. Can BB Maps do that ?! ;)
