Default crappy USB port on BB

Please Login to Remove!

I WANT TO KILL SOMETHING! the damn charger port literally fell out! its cheaply made and now I cant back up my bb curve or anything.. luckily I have a work cell to forward my calls to *and I don't think my boss is too happy about* but yeah so verizon is sending me a new phone but it will be until THURSDAY! UGH!. THIS SUCKS!

Same thing happened to a buddy of mine with his 8330. Get a desk charger and only use the USB port for syncing and backups.

I charge my 8330 every day and I've never had a problem. I got it when it first came out, too. Weird.

You just have to be careful when plugging and unplugging. I haven't heard of the 8330 having a widespread issue with this.

yeah im getting a desk charger.. screw going thru this again.. and I am very careful with my bb .. oh and yeah ive made backups but had about 5 mins to write down the new contacts i had in it too the port is just cheap design

Agreed. I have had several 8830's with this issue.

If your computer has bluetooth, you can use it to back up your stuff with desktop manager. If not, you can get a bluetooth adapter for very cheap.
