And in a thread a few days ago, that's why I asked him to quit doing it. He justs never listens to anything I say, as the saying goes.

By the way people, back to the serious side:

Is there such a thing as 4GB "non-HC" chips. I thought there is not.

Like I said before, people get confused by seeing the SD adapter that comes with the chip. It does NOT say "HC" on it so people think the MicroSD chip is also not "HC."

But if you look at the chip closely, you will see it says "HC" on it.

I am not aware that SanDisk makes non-HC 4Gb chip.

Also note that SanDisk is now selling 6GB chips. Anyone want to buy one and try it out on the Pearl?

SanDisk | Products | Memory Cards | microSD Cards

Everything above 2GB is considered HC (stands for High Capacity.)

BTW, I think I saw that "Scandisk" on "promotion" somewhere....hmm, where did I see that?

While the SanDisk site lists the 6GB at $99, clicking it does not lead to an ability to buy.

Back in late June there were announcements that SanDisk was releasing the 6GB to cell phone manufacturers for testing. Release to consumers is not supposed to be until later this year.

Oh well, I wasn't gonna buy one anyway. I am happy with my 4GB.

Also note that a SanDisk VP said:

"With these new cards, any mobile phone with a compatible microSDHC slot will have just as much storage as the largest-capacity iPhone."

MicroSDHC folks. No such thing as a 4GB non-SDHC chip.

Ok.. totally new here and probably out of place, but hasn't anyone heard of Fry's Electronics? I picked up a 2GB for $19.90 and a 1GB for $9.90. The 2 just for music and the 1 to soak up all the other junk that I habitually run across... They're clearancing out a whole buncha these "older" ones. : )

Ummm... Hello, btw.
