Wirelessly posted (9900: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Stick with VZ if you want to tether. No comparison for that. Internet is similar on the devices but not tethering.

OK, so Ican tether a curve on ATT? And I guess what you are saying is that the speed on VZW will be faster tethering than tethering on ATT? What kind of speed can I expect on ATT tethering?

And, if I can tether on ATT, is there a separate charge like VZW?

I believe you have to purchase the Tethering BlackBerry Data Plan to tether with AT&T/Cingular which last I heard costs $80 per month.

Assuming you already have a BlackBerry data plan, tethering is an add-on for about $10.00 per month. It works fine. I'm on AT&T (Cingular) with an 8700 running. 4.2.xx and actually gave up my aircard to save some $$.
