Re: 9930 Compass
Yes, same here. I just received a new 9900 from t-mobile.
I calibrated the compass, then lauched wikitude. But, about every 60 seconds the application requests a recalibrate.
A real showstopper.

Re: 9930 Compass
I just updated to the .374 OS the other day and never used my compass before, but just checked and I don't have to recalibrate it after exiting the compass and relaunching it. Even did a hard reset on the phone and it still keeps the calibration. Might try that OS and see if it helps you if the compass is something you need to use.

Re: 9930 Compass
Must be hit or miss with the phones. Just loaded latest OS and still have same issues. Oh well, guess I won't be using this compass to find my way out of the woods anytime soon LOL

Re: 9930 Compass
Mine is sketchy at best it seems.
Make sure when calibrating you toss and turn the device slowly, and do it outside, away from any metal objects.
Indoors can get it messed up and near any metal objects will decrease the reliability of it.
I've had to recalibrate a ton of times tho, nothing ever seems to keep it set.

Re: 9930 Compass
i am experiencing the exact same problem with the at&t branded bold 9900. every time i launch compass, i get told it needs calibration, to move away from metal (there never is any nearby), and to flip and tilt my handheld until it vibrates (it never does).

Re: 9930 Compass
Still the same here with the 7.1.0.74 "Release".
I calibrated the compass, started wikitude, and, 5minutes later I was again prompted to calibrate the compass.
Btw. This wikitude is nice, but overloaded with tons of advertisements and social ******* I dont need. Is there any way to customize it so I only see what I want ?
Or is there a paid mode which gives me a reduced version of the content ?
