Hi guys. I'm hoping this is the right place to post this problem:

I used to use a Curve (and obviously loved it!) and on the Blackberry Messenger, while I'm in a conversation window, there's this bar that would pop up on the bottom that would tell me if that person is currently writing something. For example, it would say "Sally is typing a message..." or something. Also, if I had a few conversations going at once, and somebody in another window wrote something, it would display "John: What's going on tonight?" thereby letting me know that there were messages unread in the other windows. Am I explaining this feature correctly?

Anyway, I recently switch carriers from T-Mobile to ATT and got the Bold. I noticed that the bottom bar no longer shows up when the other party is writing a message (actually, I haven't noticed it at all). My question is: is there a way to bring this back? Does anybody know if this has to do with carriers, OS versions, phones, settings? I went to options and i can't find anything that corresponds to that feature. Any help would be appreciated. Oh man, you're right. I feel like a dork! Thanks man. I guess I was so focused on the bottom and I didn't look on top. Also, it seems they have to type longer messages for that to show up, which makes sense.

Also noticed that instead of previewing what someone wrote in another window, they just show the name and make it a kind of link. Pretty cool. Thanks again!
