Default Question about the Trackpad/Keypad light.

This is a small thing, but it annoys me.

With my Blackberry Bold 9900, All the keys (letters, call, end call, bb button, back button) light up with a nice bright white colour, with maybe a tint of purple to it.

However, the trackpad light (the square light in the middle) is a different colour to the rest of them. Instead of being the bright white, purple-ish colour like all the others, it's more of a dull, white light with a tiny hint of yellow to it? Or in other words, it just doesn't match the rest of the buttons.

My main question is, is this normal? I've asked a couple of friends on BBM and they're adamant that all their keys light up the exact same colour. My Brother's is the same as mine though. I'm thinking maybe it was a faulty batch? Or a batch that was made slightly different? (Me and my Brother got ours at the same time)

If anyone could shed some light on this, then it would be much appreciated.

I would upload a picture, but in the pictures I take of the phone, it actually looks like all the buttons are the same colour.

Lol, should have known. The internet is full of condescending pricks. Instead of helping out, you'd rather try and belittle me.

Don't get your panties in a bunch.
I guess this isn't a problem to others. Nothing more.

Awe sorry. Did we hurt your feelings?

I apologize.

I think I found a solution to your problem though...

Go outside, high noon, stare at the sun for around 2-3 minutes.(don't look away, it needs to be a steady, straight, 2-3 minutes)

Then look down at your BB. I believe then your yellow tint will be gone. Everything should be collectively a nice bright white.

If that doesn't work.... Battery Pull and repeat process.

@ the OP - FWIW...others have whined about the same exact issue. I suppose if you look long and hard, you can probably see the differences you describe on most 99XX's. Fact is though, no one really cares and that's few have bothered to answer. It's not something we'd really describe as a technical issue, so not many would bother responding. I did because because I usually want to blast guys like you, but thought it'd be time to do a good deed and help an obvious poor soul in such distress. Now, I've done that - and I can go back to being an arrogant prick! Yay me!!

I think most, if not all of the pads are like this. I've seen about 50 of these devices now and they are all varying degrees of a dull-white or lavendar color.

I don't know how it could actually be bright white anyways because the backlight has to shine through a chrome looking opague perimeter on the pad whereas the other keys are white that the backlight shines through. In other words it would appear to be impossible for the trackpad to be white.

What I do find somewhat irritating is that the trackpad on mine is slightly twisted counterclockwise. Pretty sad that after about 2 years of trackpad development and deployment they still can't get it right on a device that costs as much as a big screen TV.
