Dear all,

since a few days I'm struggling around with a BB 9700 Bold device.

I received these in Germany (T-Mobile) and do not manage to install an eastasian device software the correct way - so that I can select japanese as input method.

I did the following things:

BB 9700 -> javaloader -usb wipe -> 9700jEastAsia** installed via Apploader (vendor.xml deleted beforehand).

So far everything looks fine on the restarted BB 9700.
The language and text input menu shows all available languages. However if I select Japan for Input language it does not apply this selection.

However every other selection like german, spanish, english, thai, korean etc. will be applied. Same for quick menu!!

Display language is a different thing, working without issues!

**I've already tried the following device software:

Do you have any idea, why every language is working flawless but japanese?!
How do I manage to get japanese input language working?

Never heard of Japanese input actually working on phones not issued by NTT DoCoMo. Hope you figure it out - I want it to!!

The strange thing in this case is that all other east asian languages are working for input purposes.

Chinese, Thai, Korean are fine without any problems.
From my point it doesn't make to much sense that japanese can be selected on the BB (picture in previous post) but it simply does not apply!!

I'm trying to get the Korean input but without a success with all the east asian and all language version....

how did you get them to show up?
