Im gonna have to get used to the sure type, but I am excited.

How do you all like the pearl? Ever had a sidekick 3 and able to compare it to the pearl?

I disabled the SureType on my Pearl so typing is now painless. Before I figure out how to disable it, it would take forever to text and IM. Once it's turned off, typing is a breeze. You'll wonder how you made it this far without a Pearl.

I was considering getting a Sidekick, but after seeing all the little jerky teeny-boppers on BART and everywhere else trying to show off with them, I decided against it. Plus, they're HUGE, can't fit that into my jeans pocket! And it can't perform nearly as many functions as the Pearl. Time to put away childish things my friend!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I'm a former skII user and now I'm in love with my pearl.

Had a sidekick2 and it broke so i decided to get a pearl and i couldn't be happier. I have to admit, i miss the keyboard but besides that.... pearl is faster, smaller and just better all around (IMO).

I wanted a Sidekick for the longest and when I finally got it the thrill was gone and I got sick of it. I have small hands so it being so bulky got on my nerves too. I got a Pearl afterwards and I prefer it so much more. I'm the type that gets bored easily and always wants to upgrade but BBP has kept my interest.

I don't know how I missed this post. I never reply to it.

I used to have a Sidekick. I am glad I got rid of it. I am now using a Pearl but I actually went from Sidekick 2 to Blackberry 7290 to Blackberry 8100.

i had a sk2 and 3, both between two years. i finally got sick of lugging that huge phone around and decided to switch! i have to say it was an excellent choice, i LOVEE my Blackberry Pearl and it does everything the Sidekick does (and more!). and the best part is...it's half the size! lol so yes i would definately recommend switching. all the perks for the pearl are amazing!

One thing I noticed is that the screen resolution on the Pearl is incredible, especially compared to the screen on the Sidekick 3. I've had both, and the Pearl is a good choice.
