Default Help - Need Very Slow Trackpad Speed/sensitivity!

Please Login to Remove!

I hope someone can help!
I love my 9700 BUT (and it's a BIG but!!!!) I have a physical condition which makes it very hard/impossible to use any touchscreen and/or sensitive key on a keyboard.
I have set "horizontal and vertical sensitivity" on my 9700 to their LEAST sensitive (i.e. slowest/least able to respond to touch) settings in 'PERSONALIZATION/OPTIONS/TYPING AND INPUT/TRACKPAD SENSITIVITY' (I.E. setting is '20') - however my 'condition' (which precludes any sensitive 'swiping' of a touchscreen) ALSO makes easy "scrolling" of the 9700's trackpad near-impossible, even at these least-sensitive settings.
I LOOOVE the feel and touch of the 9700 after my Nokia E71 (old, I know but I can use it!) - PLEASE help me find a solution that allows me to 'keep the faith' (i.e. stay with Blackberry!!!!) Thanks, Ian

So, the 9700 is working, just the slowest or lowest trackpad setting is not low enough for your needs?

I don't really know what to recommend. You say a touch screen is definitely not an option? Have you tried, say, the Passport? I wonder if you had one in hand and someone there to show it to you if they could find a way to make it work for you.

Also, with BlackBerry 10, I wonder if the Assistant app would enable you to execute things you are unable to do with your fingers.

It's hard to troubleshoot this without being there to take it difficulty by difficulty and look for workarounds for each one.

not sure if this helps but there are a bunch of keyboard commands you can use to scroll around a web page

space is page more
T for top
B for bottom

Thanks for trying to help guys - it is a physical problem which OFTEN prevents me from having any fine control over the movement of my fingers (known in the medical profession as "benign essential tremour" (Note: Tremour with the proper English spelling!!!).
It is surprisingly common - some medication I need to take probably doesn't help!

GOD - I SOUND ON MY LAST LEGS, BUT I"M NOT!!!

So any touchscreen seems out (tried a few) - I also have/had a (gulp) Nokia E71 and that is much easier to use but is pretty unintelligent! Apparently the Nokia E72 can disable its D-Pad - I was hoping I could do something similar with the 9700 or I might be forced to get rid of it...... OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE HELP ME KEEP THE FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might try looking at the PRIV to see if that will work for you. I looked around and not many smart cell phones may fit. At lease the PRIV has both touch and a keyboard.
