Default Nextel 7520

Please Login to Remove!

We have threads on alomst everyother type of BB in here, but the 7520 is scattered all over the place. OR! I just cant find it. If it dosent exist I propose that we make a stickey on the 7520 so i dont wear out the "search" feature on this forum, I wouldnt want that to happen as people need to use it and Dawg would yell at me if I wore it out

Just 2.5 cents worth from a humble new BB user who is trying his best to figure this thing out before he is checked into a methadone clinic.

"...Dawg would yell at me if I wore it out.."

Now that is pretty funny!!!! But I would have to agree with you on thinking that we should have a BB 75xx or Nextel Discussion, or something like that. But I know Mark would have his hands full if every carrier hand a discussion. Although....that might be a good idea too, but who am I...just a average crackberry addict trying to get his feel like everyone else!

Is 7520 only Nextel? or does other carriers have it in their own version?
It sure would be nice if we could seperate it better. these forums are great and maybe I am being a bit selfish here but it would be nice if my every whim were catered to and I had women faning me with palm leaves feeding me grapes too.

I think Nextel is the only one with 7520, I BELIEVE that the other carriers call it something else....ours has the antenna...other don't.

no Telus uses 7520 But I do agree 7100 has its own section so does the 8700 why not a 7500 or a nextel section there seem to be plenty of us here that use the 7520

Any ideas when the 7520 device is locked it shows a little check box with a number next to it - what is that little check box is? When you log into the device the check box goes away... It is not the email count that is higher up and further left on the screen.

Thanks!

I beleive the check box is a pop up reminder for tasks past due. Every once in a while, I get the same boxes that pop up like that on past due tasks even though I have cancelled the reminders. I have found that if I take out the battery to reset the BB, it will work like a charm.

Stop model baiting!

I don't really see all that special of a need for the x500 series phones section. 99.99% of what applies to the 7200 series phones applies to the iDEN phones.

The only difference from a user standpoint is DC and Master Radio Reset.

Actually I'll run down the differences right here: (for simplicity's sake I'll say 7500 series even though there was a 6510 model)

7200 series : GSM
7500 series : 800 MHz iDEN

7200 series : Integrated Antenna
7500 series : Visible Antenna required for 800MHz reception

7200 series : GSM Specs can do auto radio reconfigs
7500 series : On occasion a Master Radio Reset is needed to reconfig the radio

7200 series : Full 2 way SMS
7500 series : One way incoming SMS with no info on the sender

7200 series : No PTT
7500 series : Integrated iDEN walkie talkie
