After using the OEM sleeve which came with my 8310 for a few months, I found myself wanting a sleeve-type case which was as slim as possible to use when carrying the Curve in my pocket. I was also annoyed by having to pull the Curve partially out of the sleeve in order to use the headphone jack.
I ran across the Sena UltraSlim Pouch at
SENACASES, and decided to pick one up. Thought the case is brand-new for the Curve, they made one for the iPhone last year which received very favorable reviews by consumers.
The case is very well constructed of durable, thin, textured leather. The inside of the case has an extremely thin layer of felt. As I was wary of any felt particles finding their way under my Curve's screen, I took some scotch tape and did a lint-removal on the inside. I attached a picture of the UltraSim Pouch on top of the OEM Curve sleeve to show the difference in width.
There is no magnet on this pouch, which in my case is a benefit, as I would like to have a case which won't demagnetize my credit cards if I carry the pouch beside my wallet in a backpack or my bike. If I want to sleep the device before inserting in the pouch, that's easy enough to do via the mute button.
The Curve fits nicely inside the pouch, and will not slide out unless you pull it. I was having trouble at first trying to figure out how to easily pull the device from the case, as the rubber sides of the curve will grip the case if you try to hold the sides (which actually is a good thing to ensure the Curve stays in the case!). I found by pulling the case down from the front and back at the top (while holding the device at on the sides where exposed at the top) works great.
For those who want to protect their device's screen and trackball from pocket lint while maintaining the smallest profile possible, I highly recommend this case!
