I have one user who has a 9330 with 6.0.0.524 OS. She was having an issue with duplicated calendar items. I wiped her BlackBerry and used ODIR (awesome tool) to remove all the duplicates from her Outlook calendar. Then I try to reactivate her Blackberry and it downloads her contacts, calendar fine, but her Emails are blank. She can send and receive emails after the activation, but nothing from before is prepopulating.

Prepopulation is setup correctly and working fine for everyone else but her. I called Blackberry and he said you have to make sure you delete her account after the wipe unless you've made the regedit to bypass that. I told him I did, but we got the user on the phone and did it again with him watching. Delete account, wipe phone, create account, activate phone in that order. After three attempts she is still not seeing any emails after the activation completes. I put her on a static agent, but I don't see anything of importance standing out, and I'm pretty sure Blackberry tech is lost too. Anyone seen this issue?

You should check the Sync / Magt logs and post the essential lines here.

I put the user on her own MAGT and gave it to RIM. I'm on the phone with them now troubleshooting. I'm want to try and activate her on our ole 4.1.7 servers and see if we have the same issue.

you used same PIN on bes with out the regedit done is my guess. This is by design.

do the regedit and activate again

Issue is resolved. The problem was a hidden folder in her mailbox. The folder was called: ~MAPISP(Internal) and is not visiable from Outlook. We used MFCMAPI to view it. After we deleted the folder and wiped her phone and reactivated again her Blackberry could download the old emails.

I have no idea what the folder is for, or how it gets there. It was empty. I really don't know if that was what was causing the issue, but that is the only thing we changed before we wiped her phone and reactivated it the last time before it worked.

If you delete the account every time the device is wiped and recreate it the regedit is not needed from what I understand. I would like to make the edit in the future, but it takes forever to get registry edits approved at our company.

deleting the account is one way, but is the wrong way as BES holds a backup of the device and many of its settings

I would get the regedit done as it will haunt you again.
